Job summary

Lam Research is seeking an Engineering Technician to support design, test, modification, and assembly of electro-mechanical systems. You will reference schematics, conduct testing, troubleshoot faults, and assist in remedying malfunctions, contributing to Lam's engineering systems.

You will operate with precision, collaborate with development engineers, and work a shift schedule to support on-site and remote testing needs within Lam's Global Operations Group.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of related work experience.
• Firsthand experience with installation, maintenance, repair, testing, or troubleshooting of equipment or electronics.
• Effective communication skills, written and verbal, in English.
• Proficient in computer-based data systems, applications, and Microsoft Office software.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing, checkout, and troubleshooting using schematics and plans.
• Test and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems and subsystems.
• Inspect materials and components for defects and measure circuitry with precision tools.
• Conduct operational tests and fault isolation on systems and equipment; assist remedy methods.
• Support design, construction, test, and checkout of test equipment.
• Use test and diagnostic equipment including oscilloscopes and signal generators.
• Collaborate with development engineers during engineering tests to collect data.
