PHILLIP RILEY PROJECTS PTY LTD – Canberra ACT is seeking an Electrical Engineering Technician to maintain plant and implement maintenance strategies within our technical environment. You will prepare drawings, install and repair electrical systems, and support engineers with substation and cabling projects.

The role requires at least 1 year of relevant experience, hands-on use of hand and power tools, and the ability to read technical drawings.

Qualificações

• Trained in using a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties
• Excellent in interpreting and drafting of technical drawings
• Confident in designing and implementing improvements in electrical process

Responsabilidades

• Prepares drawings, plans and diagrams of electrical installations and continues to assist Engineers with design and layout.
• Plan and supervise preventative maintenance of manufacturing machines and tools.
• Install and fabricate improvements from designs and manage consumables within budget.
• Collaborate with onsite Installers for alterations and safety compliance.
• Assemble, test, update and monitor electrical equipment including protection relays and metering devices.

Job Description

Phillip Riley are searching for an Electrical Engineering Technician to assist in the maintenance of plant, as well as the planning and implementing of maintenance strategies and improvements within the technical environment. Your Responsibilities As part of your new role you will be responsible for tasks such as:

• prepares drawings, plans, and diagrams of electrical installations, circuits and stations assisting Engineers and Engineering Team with design and layout of electrical installations on infrastructure such as substations, switches, cabling systems and motor control systems The planning and supervision of preventative maintenance of our manufacturing machines and tools
• Executing the designed improvements by installation and/or fabrication of those plans Keeping track and ordering necessary consumables and materials while considering the budget put in place Working together with onsite Installers for any alterations needed of installation equipment or tools
• Assembly, Testing, Updates and Monitoring of all electrical equipment and ensuring legal and safety requirements are met. Installation of assemblies for protection relays, metering and monitoring devices

• Minimum of 1 year experience in an relevant environment or comparable job position
• Trained in using a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties
• Excellent in interpreting and drafting of technical drawings
• Confident in designing and implementing improvements in electrical process
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to work independently.

Salary: $87,500- $107,500 plus superannuation
