Job summary

Alignerr is seeking an Electrical Engineering Expert to train and improve AI models by solving complex electrical engineering problems and authoring rigorous reference solutions. This remote, hourly contract offers flexible scheduling between 10 and 40 hours per week, allowing you to work asynchronously with minimal supervision.

You will audit AI outputs for technical accuracy, contribute high-quality explanations, and help elevate the reliability of AI reasoning in EE domains such as circuit

Qualifications

• Pursuing or holding a Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Strong foundational knowledge in one or more EE domains: VLSI, control systems, telecommunications, power electronics, embedded systems, or RF engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design challenging problems across core EE domains that push AI models to their limits, including circuit analysis, power systems, signal processing, electromagnetics, VLSI, and control systems.
• Author gold-standard solutions with rigorous, step-by-step technical reasoning that AI uses as a benchmark for learning.
• Audit AI-generated outputs including circuit diagrams, mathematical proofs, and code for technical accuracy, safety, and compliance with engineering standards (IEEE, NEC, etc.).
• Identify and correct reasoning failures in AI responses, providing structured feedback that improves how the model thinks through engineering challenges.
• Work asynchronously and independently on your own schedule — no meetings required.

About The Role

We're looking for electrical engineering experts to help train and improve cutting-edge AI models. Your deep technical knowledge will directly shape how AI reasons through complex engineering problems — from circuit analysis to signal processing — making a real impact on the next generation of intelligent systems.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. You set your schedule and work as much or as little as suits you, between 10 and 40 hours per week.

What You'll Do

Who You Are

• Pursuing or holding a Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related field
• Strong foundational knowledge in one or more of: VLSI, control systems, telecommunications, power electronics, embedded systems, or RF engineering
• Able to communicate highly technical concepts clearly and precisely in written form
• Detail-oriented with a high level of precision when working with equations, circuit logic, and technical documentation
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote, async environment
• No prior AI experience required

Nice to Have

• Experience with data annotation, technical writing, or evaluation systems
• Familiarity with simulation tools such as MATLAB, SPICE, or similar
• Background in engineering standards bodies or standards-compliant design
