Aurecon, a leading design, engineering and advisory firm, seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer, Secondary Systems in its Transmission & Distribution team. You will design and deliver substation secondary systems (up to 500kV), lead engineering projects, and mentor junior engineers to deliver safe, reliable and sustainable solutions for clients across Australia and beyond.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is required.
• Experience in High Voltage Secondary Substation design and project delivery.
• Proven ability to serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients.
• Demonstrated capability in leading design teams and projects.
• Strong track record delivering design projects under quality management systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

As our new Senior Electrical Engineer, Secondary Systems within our Transmission & Distribution team - you’ll be a vital part of the broader Energy team who are changing the way we design and deliver major works to be carbon neutral and sustainable.

You will be focusing on substation projects, you will play a crucial role in designing and delivering high-quality solutions for our clients.

Your expertise will contribute to the successful planning, design, and execution of substation infrastructure, ensuring safety, reliability, and efficiency.

Your Role will include:

• Design and deliver advanced Substation Secondary systems for distribution and transmission networks (upto 500kV).
• Ensure strict adherence quality assurance procedures and technical standards
• Lead and manage engineering projects within defined scopes, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
• Foster effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams (civil, structural, primary electrical).
• Contribute to proposal development, including scope definition and cost estimation.
• Engage with regional clients, providing expert technical advice and supporting business growth.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers, enhancing our team's capabilities.

As well as experience in a similar electrical engineering role previously.

You would require:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (required).
• Experience in High Voltage Secondary Substation design and project delivery (highly desirable is previous experience with Transgrid projects).
• Proven ability to serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients.
• Demonstrated capability in managing and providing technical leadership to design teams, including Global Delivery Centres.
• Strong track record in managing design projects in compliance with quality management systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
