Job summary

Our client is a professional engineering services firm delivering specialised solutions for heavy industry environments. The Electrical Engineer role involves managing engineering activities across mining, container handling, and heavy earthmoving equipment, with a strong emphasis on safety compliance and asset management.

The position requires travel to various sites and collaboration with OEMs and operators.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years' experience in electrical works (industrial/ heavy industry)
• Expertise with electrical systems used in mining and container handling equipment
• Demonstrated knowledge of WHS legislation and Australian Standards
• Experience on mine site or container terminal operations (3+ years)

Responsibilities

• Develop and review engineering management and safety system coordination
• Conduct equipment compliance auditing to Australian and International Standards
• Inspect and report on critical infrastructure including container cranes
• Lead small projects and works packages for engineering initiatives
• Develop equipment specifications and support asset management projects
• Provide onsite engineering support and statutory coverage
• Create budget estimates and project scoping for engineering initiatives
• Facilitate risk assessments across client sites
• Support procurement processes for mobile and fixed equipment
