Job summary

MMT Recruitment seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer for a full‑time, on‑site role in Wickham, NSW. The position focuses on engineering management, equipment compliance auditing, and asset reliability across mining, ports, and heavy industry.

You will work with mechanical engineers, mining clients, container terminal operators and OEMs to ensure safety compliance and operational excellence. Travel regionally/internationally will be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years' experience in electrical works (industrial).
• Experience with heavy industry electrical systems (mining and container handling).
• Diploma to Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Knowledge of WHS regulations and Australian Standards for heavy industry.
• 3+ years mine site or container terminal operations.
• Project management and supervision with budget and scheduling.
• Strong written and verbal communication and reporting skills.
• Eligible for MSIC clearance and able to pass drug/alcohol and police checks.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering and safety management system activities.
• Audit equipment compliance to Australian and International Standards.
• Inspect and report on critical infrastructure including container cranes.
• Lead technology improvement projects and small works packages.
• Develop equipment specifications and support asset management.
• Provide on-site engineering support and statutory coverage.
• Create budget estimates and project scoping for initiatives.
• Facilitate and review risk assessments across client sites.
• Support procurement processes for mobile and fixed equipment.
