Job summary

Raytheon Australia is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support Australia’s defence mission, applying advanced engineering methods to deliver safe, compliant systems within project constraints. You will work with engineering authorities, liaise with stakeholders and review engineering change proposals.

You will apply system design, risk analysis and verification activities, collaborating across teams to ensure safety and performance. NV1 Defence Clearance eligibility is required or pursued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level engineering degree and path to CPEng with Engineers Australia.
• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience with degree.
• Experience with requirements definition, analysis, design, verification.
• NV1 Defence Security Clearance eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Interface with customer, management, and implementation team to define system requirements meeting electrical safety.
• Engage in System Design activities to ensure artefacts align with baselined products.
• Perform technical risk analysis and support hazard logs and risk mitigation.
• Ensure electrical systems/sub-systems are developed per applicable standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver systems integration and mission support solutions.
