Raytheon Australia is seeking a bright and energised Electrical Engineer to support Australia’s defence mission. You will work with Engineering Authorities, liaise with stakeholders, conduct engineering assessments, and review and support the approval of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs). You will apply advanced technical theories, methodologies and principles to provide innovative solutions within project constraints and will be allocated to a project with tasks aligned to project plans.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the technical interface between the customer, management and the implementation team to conduct systems analysis and derive function, performance and interface requirements meeting electrical safety parameters.
  • Engage in System Design activities (including trade studies) to ensure design artefacts are compatible with baselined products and consistent across all subsystems, delivering system design to meet performance requirements.
  • Perform technical risk analysis to support development and review hazard logs, safety case arguments and risk mitigation actions.
  • Ensure allocated electrical systems/sub-systems are developed and implemented according to applicable standards and procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to secure Raytheon’s reputation as a trusted partner in delivering systems integration and mission support solutions.
Qualifications
  • Tertiary Qualification in a relevant engineering discipline, and professional development sufficient to attain recognition as CPEng with Engineers Australia in a relevant engineering stream, including the ability to attain RPEQ recognition.
  • Experience in engineering disciplines involving requirements definition, management, analysis, design, and verification and validation.
  • Experience representing engineering professional services to internal and external customers.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience (with a university degree).
  • Practical to substantial knowledge of projects, programs, or systems relevant to the business, with ability to make enhancements and apply knowledge in daily work.
  • Experience in product configuration control.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain an NV1 Defence Security Clearance. Eligibility information is available at the Australian Defence website.
