BAI Communications is seeking an Electrical Engineer - Antenna and Structures Engineering to deliver reliable electrical infrastructure and renewable energy upgrades across Australia's broadcast network. You will contribute from design through commissioning on assets like switchboards and standby power.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering aligned with Engineers Australia requirements.
• Strong understanding of Australian standards, including AS/NZS 3000.
• Hands‑on experience across switchboards, UPS, generators, metering, and protection systems.
• Exposure to standby power systems, renewable energy solutions, and control systems.
• Experience supporting commissioning, testing, and fault‑finding activities in live environments.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Design and specify electrical infrastructure systems supporting broadcast operations.
• Provide engineering support throughout project delivery from concept to commissioning.
• Conduct testing, commissioning and acceptance activities in line with standards.
• Review designs for compliance with Australian standards and operational requirements.
• Support asset lifecycle strategies including maintenance, upgrades, and risk identification.
• Liaise with supply authorities and external stakeholders to deliver projects effectively.
• Investigate network issues and provide technical solutions to field teams.
• Undertake site inspections across facilities and operational environments.
• Contribute to continuous improvement through adoption of new technologies and practices.
