ACOR is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Sydney team, contributing to the design and delivery of building services across Defence, Health, Government, Commercial and Industrial sectors.

Based in Sydney CBD with hybrid work, you will collaborate with our national Electrical team, supported by experienced engineers and project leaders who encourage ownership and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Electrical Engineering with 2-6 years in building services consulting.
• Experience designing building services electrical systems (power, lighting, communications).
• Working knowledge of NCC/BCA, Australian Standards and local authorities.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and delivery of electrical building services projects from concept to construction.
• Prepare designs, calculations, specifications, and reports per Australian Standards and ACOR quality framework.
• Conduct site inspections, liaise with clients, contractors and authorities, provide engineering support.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and ACOR's national Electrical team for high-quality outcomes.
• Manage project tasks to agreed timeframes and budgets while growing technical and consulting capabilities.

The Role

• Contribute to the design and delivery of electrical building services projects across Defence, Health, Government, Commercial and Industrial sectors, from concept through to construction.
• Prepare engineering designs, calculations, specifications, reports and technical documentation in accordance with Australian Standards and ACOR's quality framework.
• Undertake site inspections, liaise with clients, contractors and authorities, and provide engineering support throughout project delivery.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams and ACOR's national Electrical team to deliver high‑quality outcomes for clients.
• Manage project tasks to agreed timeframes and budgets while continuing to grow your technical and consulting capabilities.

About You

• Bachelor of Electrical Engineering and 2-6 years' experience in building services consulting.
• Experience in the design of building services electrical systems, including power, lighting, communications and associated infrastructure.
• Working knowledge of the NCC/BCA, Australian Standards and local authority requirements.
• Proficiency in electrical design software such as PowerCad, AGi32, Bluebeam and similar industry tools.
• Strong communication skills, a collaborative approach and a genuine desire to learn, develop and build your career within a growing consultancy.
