Qualifications

• Experience as an Estimator, Junior Estimator or Project Engineer.
• Background in utilities, electrical construction or civil infrastructure.
• Exposure to electrical distribution network projects highly regarded.
• Understanding of overhead and underground electrical infrastructure.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for distribution projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work and tender documents.
• Complete quantity take-offs for labour, materials, plant and subcontractors.
• Source and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Assist with pricing strategies, project planning and construction methodologies.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities during tender preparation.
• Support bid submissions, clarifications and client responses.
• Liaise with engineering, procurement and delivery teams throughout the tender process.
