As a key member of the Electrical Design and Drafting team you will play an important role in delivering professional electrical design for our engineering teams.
The role involves the provision of electrical design and drafting support for projects spanning, power system design (power poles, substations), E&I design (MCC, Switchboards) and Control system design.
Working directly with engineers, the position will collaborate on design improvements, modifications and revisions. Key will be ensuring design and drafting quality is maintained.
To thrive in this position, you will bring solid experience in electrical design and drafting, having worked on projects associated mineral processing or mining applications
With more than 5 years working as an electrical designer, you will be experienced with both AutoCAD and MicroStation with the ability to design on both platforms according to client requirements and standards.
A sound client services mind-set you will be comfortable working under time constraints and working with the engineering teams to ensure on-time delivery of project designs and drawings.
Technically you should have experience developing single line diagrams, schematic diagrams and termination diagrams. Experience with the electrical design of substations, power poles and power lines would be an advantage.
