Job summary

Egis Group ANZ is seeking an Electrical Technical Officer/Designer to deliver detailed design and drafting for Overhead and underground lines for Victorian electricity networks up to 66kV. You will drive QA reviews, mentor juniors and manage design projects with a focus on safety and compliance.

Role requires 5+ years in overhead lines survey/design, knowledge of AusNet/Power/CitiPower standards, and proficiency in nPoles, Neara, AutoCAD and Excel. Flexible working arrangements are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in overhead lines survey, design and drafting.
• Experience in underground lines survey, design and drafting is highly regarded.
• Knowledge of Victorian distribution network and utility standards (AusNet, United Energy, CitiPower, Powercor, or Jemena).
• Proficiency in Overhead lines design software including, nPoles and Neara.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking design and drafting quality assurance reviews.
• Approve/endorse standard designs and drawings.
• Own lines design projects and manage resources assigned to the project; plan and coordinate delivery within timeframes and budget.
• Produce or coordinate tender documentation, design documentation/specifications and deliverables.
• Mentor junior staff and provide technical leadership on design best practices.
• Collaborate on bids/tenders and develop high-quality client documentation.
