Job summary

Egis Group in Australia is seeking an Electrical Technical Officer/Designer to deliver detailed design and documentation for energy projects in Victoria, focusing on overhead and underground lines up to 66kV.

The role involves QA reviews, design endorsement, project management, tender documentation, mentoring junior staff, and regulatory compliance. Flexible working options apply, with potential travel across offices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in overhead lines survey, design and drafting.
• Experience in underground lines survey, design and drafting is highly regarded.
• Knowledge of Victorian distribution network and utility standards (AusNet, United Energy, CitiPower, Powercor, or Jemena).
• Proficiency in Overhead lines design software including, nPoles and Neara.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking design and drafting quality assurance reviews.
• Approve/endorse standard designs and drawings.
• Manage small to medium projects or phases of larger projects, including owning lines design projects, producing tender documentation, and planning resources.
• Contribute to training and development of technical resources and mentor junior staff.
• Prepare client and project reports and present on project status.
• Ensure financial management of project and performance.
