Job summary

RSGx Engineering in Australia is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to develop electrical designs for grid connections, distribution and substations for data centres and other critical infrastructure. You will collaborate with internal teams, clients and contractors to deliver robust power solutions.

The role requires a degree in electrical engineering and proven experience with grid connections, HV equipment and standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
• Experience in electrical design for data centres or critical infrastructure.
• Experience with grid connection, distribution and substations.
• Knowledge of DNSP/NSP connection processes.
• HV switchgear, transformers, protection and earthing experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical designs for grid connections, networks and substations.
• Design LV, MV, HV distribution systems, transformers, switchgear and protection.
• Create substation layouts, single-line diagrams, schematics and cable schedules.
• Review design documentation and construction/shop drawings.
• Support design reviews and technical issue resolution.
• Ensure designs meet Australian Standards and project requirements.
