Job summary

ProFound People Pty Ltd is seeking an Electrical & Controls Engineer for Water & Wastewater projects in Adelaide on a permanent basis. The role focuses on PLC programming, SCADA systems and integration across multidisciplinary teams within the Water sector.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in electrical, controls or automation, a degree in electrical engineering, and hands-on experience with design, installation, testing and commissioning of control systems for water utilities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Electrical, Controls, Automation or similar Engineering roles.
• Experience with PLC programming, SCADA systems and industrial automation.
• Experience within the Water, Wastewater or Utilities industry.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, instrumentation, control panels and VSDs.
• Able to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs and engineering drawings.
• Experience with the design, development and implementation of control systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Programming, developing and maintaining PLC and SCADA systems.
• Designing and implementing electrical and control solutions for Water and Wastewater treatment systems.
• Configuring instrumentation, control panels, VSDs and associated equipment.
• Reviewing electrical drawings, schematics, P&IDs and technical documentation.
• Supporting the integration of automation and control systems across projects.
• Troubleshooting and resolving electrical, instrumentation and control system issues.
• Working with internal teams, suppliers and clients throughout project delivery.
• Supporting system testing, commissioning and on-site implementation.
• Preparing and maintaining technical documentation.
• Working within a collaborative, growing engineering team on a variety of projects.

SALARY - $140,000 - $160,000 per annum, dependent on experience

My client provides specialist engineering solutions across the Water and Wastewater sector. They are looking for an Electrical & Controls Engineer with experience in PLC/SCADA programming and the Water industry to join their growing team in Adelaide.

The Electrical & Controls Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
