Newmont is seeking a Supervisor, Electrical Compliance for its Tanami mine in the Northern Territory. You will provide electrical compliance assurance across mine operations, ensuring activities are safe from electrical risk and aligned with NT legislation and Newmont standards.

The role requires lead-auditing capability, site-based experience in mining, and the ability to deliver education on electrical safety to both electrical and non-electrical staff.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering and/or NT Electrical Work Licence.
• Competence in electrical safety assurance and endorsements.
• Lead auditor accreditation or auditing qualification.
• Extensive site-based experience in electrical compliance in mining or heavy industry.
• Knowledge of the Electrical Safety Act 2022 (NT) and Regulations 2024 (NT) and Australian Standards.
• Capability in electrical risk assessment, auditing, incident investigation and corrective actions.
• Proven incident investigation training.
• Proficient high-voltage, hazardous areas, arc-flash, and commissioning assurance.
• Training and facilitation skills for electrical safety education.
• Experience administering licensing, worker authorisation and compliance systems.
• MS Office and SAP exposure.
• Eligibility to work in Australia.

Responsabilités

• Implement a consistent, risk-based electrical compliance and assurance framework.
• Verify current electrical licences, authorisations, competencies, and supervision requirements.
• Support electrical work with complete inspection, testing, certification and record retention.
• Identify and close out electrical risks, non-conformances and notifiable events.
• Keep ESMP and procedures current, practical and aligned with legislation and site risk.
• Deliver electrical safety education and awareness to personnel.
