Job summary

BlueScope’s Port Kembla facility seeks an Electrical Engineering Team Leader to guide the Springhill Engineering team. You will drive electrical design, automation and project execution while ensuring safety, reliability and energy efficiency across plant operations.

You will lead engineers, coordinate capital projects and mentor technical staff, balancing urgent plant needs with long-term asset improvement within a supportive operational environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Springhill electrical and automation engineering team.
• Provide technical leadership across electrical design, automation, project engineering and project management.
• Oversee design development to ensure compliance with codes and standards.
• Lead capital project delivery and asset upgrades.
• Provide input on equipment procurement and asset replacement.
• Collaborate with suppliers and plant stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
• Identify and implement improvements to safety, reliability, performance and energy efficiency.
