Job summary

BlueScopePort Kembla is seeking an Electrical Engineering Team Leader to guide the Springhill engineering team in Port Kembla. You will oversee electrical and automation design, projects and asset care to keep the plant safe, productive and efficient.

You will lead engineers and technicians, drive safety, reliability and energy efficiency, and deliver capital projects with a focus on quality and stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience in a manufacturing, heavy industry or process environment.
• Experience leading engineers and technical professionals.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and support the Springhill electrical and automation engineering team.
• Provide technical leadership across electrical design, automation and project delivery.
• Support maintenance and operations to ensure a safe, reliable plant.
• Oversee design development and ensure compliance with codes and standards.
• Lead capital project planning, delivery and asset upgrades.
• Contribute to equipment procurement decisions and upgrades.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to solve technical issues.
