Job summary
BlueScope Port Kembla is seeking an Electrical Engineering Team Leader to guide the Springhill Engineering group. You will lead a team of electrical and automation engineers, drive safety, reliability and energy efficiency across plant support, design and capital projects, and provide technical leadership across multiple disciplines.
The role requires a tertiary Electrical Engineering qualification with experience in manufacturing or heavy industry, plus strong leadership and problem‑solving
Qualifications
- Experience leading electrical/automation engineers in a manufacturing/industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of electrical design, automation systems and project delivery.
- Commitment to safety and wellbeing of self and others.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Springhill electrical and automation engineering team.
- Provide technical leadership across electrical design, automation, project engineering and project management.
- Support maintenance, operations and other engineering disciplines to deliver safe, reliable plant solutions.
- Oversee design development to comply with codes and standards.
- Lead capital project delivery and equipment procurement decisions.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve issues.
- Identify and implement improvements to safety, reliability and energy efficiency.
