Job summary
Goulburn Valley Water is seeking a Technical Officer – Electrical and Automation to support the reliability of electrical, instrumentation and automation assets across Seymour and GVW’s Southern region. You will work with Operations and Project Delivery teams on installations to deliver essential water services to regional communities.
The role includes maintenance, fault finding, installation, commissioning, PLC programming, SCADA and instrumentation calibration.
Qualifications
- Electrical trade qualification with 7+ years' relevant experience.
- Current A Grade Electrical Licence.
- Experience in industrial electrical/instrumentation/automation environments.
- Experience with PLCs, SCADA, telemetry and/or automation systems.
- Ability to read and update electrical drawings and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Undertake electrical maintenance, fault finding and repairs at water facilities.
- Assist with installation, commissioning and upgrades of electrical/automation systems.
- Work with instrumentation, PLCs, telemetry and SCADA to optimise performance.
- Calibration of instrumentation including level sensors and flow meters.
- Coordinate with contractors and internal teams for maintenance and projects.
- Participate in on-call roster for operational responses.
