Job summary

AKD Softwoods in Colac, Victoria, is offering an Electrical Apprenticeship on our Colac site. You will gain qualification in Certificate III in Electrotechnology - Electrician while working hands-on with our maintenance and installation teams.

This full-time, four-year program includes on-the-job training and trade school, supported by a dedicated Training Manager to guide your learning and development, with opportunities to work across AKD’s state-of-the-art equipment and technology.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Electrotechnology - Electrician required or pursued during apprenticeship.
• Willingness to learn and develop electrical trade skills.

Responsibilities

• Installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical parts of industrial equipment (generators, transformers, switchboards & panels, interior wiring).
• Interpreting technical documents.
• Preventative maintenance.
• Fault finding and root cause analysis.
• Interpreting PLC logic programs.
• Providing technical support.
