Job summary

AKD Softwoods in Tumut NSW is offering a full-time Electrical Apprenticeship on our Tumut site. You will gain Certificate III in Electrotechnology - Electrician while working on industrial equipment and state-of-the-art systems.

As an apprentice electrician you will install, repair and maintain electrical parts, interpret PLC programs, perform preventative maintenance, and receive hands-on training with our dedicated Training Manager.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship leading to Electrician qualification.
• Pre-employment drug and alcohol screening may be required.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain electrical parts of industrial equipment (generators, switchboards & panels, interior wiring).
• Interpret technical documents
• Perform preventative maintenance
• Fault finding and root-cause analysis
• Interpret PLC logic programs
• Provide technical support
