Job summary

BREC is seeking a 1st Year Electrician Apprentice, with opportunities for 2nd–4th Year progression, to work across residential and commercial projects in Melbourne. You’ll learn fault finding, service, maintenance, and smart-home installations while supported by experienced electricians.

Applicants should have 6 months of electrical experience (1st year) or be currently enrolled in an electrical apprenticeship with TAFE, plus a White Card, driver’s license, and basic tools.

Qualifications

• 1st Year: at least 6 months' electrical industry experience.
• 2nd–4th Year: currently in an electrical apprenticeship and up to date with TAFE.
• All years: valid Australian Driver's Licence and reliable transport.
• All years: White Card.
• All years: basic electrical hand tool kit (specialist tools provided).

Responsibilities

• Learn fault-finding, troubleshooting and service work.
• Gain experience across new builds, renovations, and automation projects.
• Work alongside experienced electricians and learn proper on-site conduct.
• Develop professional communication and teamwork while visiting client sites.
