Job summary

ABB Australia in Melbourne's Notting Hill area is seeking a 2nd or 3rd Year Electrical Apprentice to join a supportive, diverse team and gain exposure to cutting-edge drives and automation technology.

You will work with qualified Electricians and Electrical Engineers, assist with workshop repairs and quotations, diagnose faults in drive systems, and undertake local onsite work aligned with TAFE commitments.

Qualifications

• Current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.
• Manual licence preferred but not essential.
• Completion of your 1st year and all wiring hours.
• Willingness to complete basic aptitude testing during recruitment.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside qualified Electricians and Electrical Engineers.
• Gain hands-on experience with ABB’s world-class drives product range.
• Assist with workshop repairs, maintenance, and quotations.
• Diagnose faults in electronic drive systems.
• Support electricians in setting up and commissioning drives.
• Undertake local—and occasionally interstate—onsite work aligned with TAFE commitments.
