About the role

Working closely with the Section Director, policy teams and project stakeholders, you’ll guide event planning and delivery in a complex, fast-moving environment. You’ll provide practical advice, manage suppliers and help ensure event communications and media requirements are delivered to a high standard and within tight timeframes.

Key responsibilities
  • Plan and lead delivery of a 2027 event with the Section Director, policy area and project stakeholders.
  • Manage external suppliers, coordinating quality deliverables against tight deadlines.
  • Develop and manage event resources, briefs, budgets and contracts.
  • Provide expert event and communications advice to support planning, engagement and best-practice communications.
  • Develop or oversee communications for diverse audiences, including social media and web content, media and stakeholder materials, videos and accessible resources.
  • Coordinate media requirements for the event in line with the approach advised by the Minister’s Office.
  • Work under limited direction, taking responsibility for your workload and priorities.
  • Support other section projects and Communication Branch priorities as required.
About you

You’ll bring demonstrated experience in event management, ideally involving large-scale events, alongside experience in public affairs, media or communications.
