Job summary

DFP Recruitment seeks an EL1 Business Designer to join a Federal Government client in Australia. The role supports design and transformation of business services, processes and operating models within a complex ICT program environment.

The EL1 Business Designer will work across multidisciplinary teams to ensure digital solutions are underpinned by effective business processes, capabilities and ways of working. Strong stakeholder engagement is essential.

Qualifications

• Essential criteria demonstrate extensive experience in business design, service transformation or operating model design within complex digital/ICT environments.
• Strong experience applying business design, human-centred design or service design methods to complex organisational problems.
• Experience facilitating workshops with senior stakeholders to define problems and practical solutions.
• Analytical and systems-thinking capability to understand people, process, technology and organisational requirements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement to present artefacts, findings and recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and undertake business design activities to understand current-state services, processes and operating environments.
• Design future-state business processes, service models and operating arrangements for new digital capabilities.
• Apply human-centred and business design approaches to address user, operational and organisational needs.
• Facilitate workshops with business, technical and delivery stakeholders to explore problems and define outcomes.
• Map and analyse processes, journeys, capabilities and dependencies across complex service environments.
• Translate strategic objectives and requirements into practical business design recommendations.
