Job summary

Austrade is seeking an experienced Cloud Solutions Architect to join its Enterprise Architecture team. The role will provide senior cloud architecture expertise across a portfolio of technology initiatives and support the continued modernisation of Austrade's Microsoft Azure environment.

The successful candidate will have substantial experience delivering cloud solutions in complex enterprise environments and a practical understanding of Commonwealth governance, security and assurance

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of cloud solution architectures from requirements through to implementation.
• Work with business and technical stakeholders to define requirements, constraints and expected outcomes.
• Assess solution options and produce architecture artefacts, including solution designs, patterns, standards and implementation guidance.
• Design secure, resilient, scalable and supportable solutions using approved cloud services and platforms.
• Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture, security, data, integration and operational requirements.
• Present solution proposals through architecture and technology governance processes and address issues raised during review.
• Provide architecture oversight and technical guidance to delivery teams during implementation.
• Identify architecture risks, dependencies and technical debt, and recommend practical treatments.
• Contribute to the development of cloud architecture standards, patterns and roadmaps.
• Work independently, manage competing priorities and provide clear advice to stakeholders.
