Job summary

Northrop Grumman Australia is seeking an experienced EHS Lead for ACT & NSW. Based in Fairbairn, ACT, you will provide practical leadership across safety, health and wellbeing, environment and sustainability, embedding Northrop Grumman’s EHS strategy and building proactive risk management across sites and programs.

You will lead a small EHS team, partner with leaders to identify hazards, conduct investigations and audits, interpret WHS requirements and deliver health and wellbeing initiatives

Qualifications

• Diploma in Work Health & Safety, Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent.
• 5+ years’ experience in health and safety within aviation, manufacturing, mining, construction, energy or related environment.
• Experience in critical risk management, incident investigations and health and wellbeing programs.
• Lead Auditor certification in ISO 45001, ISO 14001 or ISO 9001.
• Incident Investigation and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Leading, coaching and developing a small EHS team.
• Partnering with leaders to identify hazards, manage risks and strengthen EHS practices.
• Leading and supporting incident investigations, audits and improvement initiatives.
• Interpreting WHS and environmental requirements and supporting their implementation.
• Developing and delivering health and wellbeing initiatives.
• Supporting injury management and return-to-work activities.
• Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, government authorities and industry groups.
• Supporting EHS activities across geographically dispersed sites and programs.
