Job summary

Alstom Ballarat site is seeking an EHS Coordinator to drive a safety-first culture on the Xtrapolis 2.0 project. You will support leadership, help develop and review EHS plans, and manage health and safety documentation on site in Ballarat.

You will handle injury management, conduct investigations, and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders, contributing to a safer, compliant workplace and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Proven knowledge of safety legislation, rules and procedures
  • Experience in injury management and workers’ compensation
  • Ability to influence people at all levels within a project

Responsibilities

  • Support project leadership in creating and driving a safety-first culture
  • Assist in delivery and review of EHS and Rail Safety management plans
  • Conduct early intervention and end-to-end injury management
  • Conduct incident investigations and audits
  • Manage EHS documentation and compliance
  • Prepare statistical reporting for stakeholders

We are seeking an accomplished and passionate Environment, Health & Safety professional with a strong commitment to excellence, ready to step into a highly rewarding and impactful role. Join our team as the EHS Coordinator based at our Ballarat site, on the Xtrapolis 2.0 project where you will play a pivotal role in fostering a safe and thriving workplace.

We’ll look to you for:
  • Supporting the project leadership team in creating and driving a 'safety first' culture
  • Assisting in the delivery and review ofthe EHS & Rail Safety management plans for the project
  • Conduct early intervention and end-to-end injury management for workers’ compensation claims
  • Conducting incident investigation and auditing
  • Managing project EHS documentation and compliance
  • Preparing statistical reporting for internal and external stakeholders

  • Cert IV or Diploma in Workplace, Health & Safety
  • Experience in injury managment

  • A sound knowledge of safe working systems, legislation, rules and procedures
