Qualifications

  • Hold a Degree in Business or Supply Chain or related discipline.
  • Experience within the rail, defence, transportation or manufacturing industry is highly desirable.
  • Experience in leading all areas of supply chain from planning through to delivery.
  • Relevant experience in Supply Chain ERP Management (Maximo, SAP).

Responsibilities

  • Drive people development roadmap including skills assessment, training, and qualification to strengthen supply chain capabilities.
  • Prepare and manage functional budgets; oversee end-to-end material planning from delivery schedules to on-time part delivery.
  • Establish performance metrics for supply chain tracking.
  • Develop policies to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain while ensuring quality and safety of delivery.
  • Manage inventory supply and forecasting; drive best-practice inventory planning and management.
  • Monitor supplier performance in collaboration with other departments to meet quality and delivery requirements.
  • Build strong collaborative relationships with key functional areas of the business.
  • Develop a working culture that embraces SOP compliance, continuous improvement, idea generation, innovation and collaboration.
  • Establish relationships with global forwarders and suppliers to ensure smooth product supply.

Your future role

Embrace a new opportunity and leverage your expertise in supply chain management within an innovative sector. You will collaborate with a dynamic and cooperative team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and implementing supply chain strategies, ensuring operational excellence, and nurturing a strong supply chain culture throughout the organisation. On a daily basis, you will engage closely with various teams across the company, including material planning, warehousing, and procurement, as this is a vital component of our organisation. We seek a Supply Chain professional for our Ballarat facility with experience in the Rail Industry, possessing exceptional communication skills, who can utilise their procurement knowledge, supply chain acumen, and problem-solving abilities to enhance and sustain stock availability in support of our Xtrap project, which encompasses material planning, expediting, logistics, and warehouse operations.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Build strong collaborative relationships with key functional areas of the business.
  • Develop a good working culture that embraces standard operating procedure compliance, continuous improvement, idea generation, innovation and collaboration.
  • Establish relationships with global forwarders and suppliers to ensure smooth product supply.
