Job summary

The YMCA Yugumbir Outside School Hours Care team is seeking energetic Educators to support children before/after school and during school holidays. You will help supervise, lead hands-on activities and foster a safe, inclusive space where children can grow with confidence.

Qualities include a great sense of fun, energy and creativity, plus responsibilities to ensure a safe environment. First Aid/CPR and Blue Card are required or obtainable. Casual shifts may include early mornings and afternoons.

Qualifications

• Cert III or Diploma in Children’s Services or equivalent.
• Current First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain).
• Paid Blue Card (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong sense of responsibility and commitment to safety and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage children in Before & After School sessions
• Run or assist with a variety of hands‑on activities during Vacation Care
• Create a welcoming and inclusive space where all children feel safe, supported and inspired to grow
• Promote children’s wellbeing, confidence, and friendships through play

About the role

Are you passionate about promoting children’s wellbeing and confidence? We are currently recruiting energetic and caring Educators to join our YMCA Yugumbir Outside School Hours Care team on a casual basis.

As an Educator, you’ll help create a safe, fun and inclusive environment for primary-aged children before school, after school and during the school holidays. With a mix of structured and spontaneous play-based activities, you’ll be at the heart of children’s social learning and creativity.
