Job summary

YMCA Brisbane's Outside School Hours Care team in Ipswich is seeking energetic Educators to supervise before and after school care and Vacation Care programs. You’ll create a safe, inclusive space for primary school children, lead hands-on activities and support wellbeing, confidence and friendships through play.

Holding or studying toward a Cert III or Diploma in Children's Services, with current First Aid/CPR and a Blue Card, you’ll join a supportive not-for-profit that offers development

Qualifications

• Cert III or Diploma in Children’s Services or similar is required or in progress.
• Current First Aid and CPR certificate is required or willingness to obtain.
• Blue Card (Paid) or willingness to obtain.

About the role

Are you passionate about promoting children’s wellbeing and confidence? We are currently recruiting energetic and caring Educators to join our YMCA Springfield Lakes Outside School Hours Care team on a casual basis.

As an Educator, you’ll help create a safe, fun and inclusive environment for primary-aged children before school, after school and during the school holidays. With a mix of structured and spontaneous play-based activities, you’ll be at the heart of children's social learning and creativity.

What you’ll do

What you’ll bring

• Hold or studying towards a Cert III or Diploma in Children’s Services, School Age Education and Care or similar
• A great sense of fun, energy and creativity
• A strong sense of responsibility and commitment to ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all children
• Current First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• A valid Paid Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)
