Job summary

YMCA Brisbane is seeking energetic Educators to join our Currimundi Outside School Hours Care team on a casual basis. You’ll supervise before and after school sessions, and help with Vacation Care activities, fostering a welcoming, inclusive environment where children feel safe and inspired to grow.

You’ll hold or be studying towards a Cert III or Diploma in Children’s Services, with a focus on wellbeing, energy and creativity. First Aid/CPR and a paid Blue Card are preferred or can be obtained.

Qualifications

• Hold or be studying towards a Cert III or Diploma in Children’s Services, School Age Education and Care or similar.
• A great sense of fun, energy and creativity.
• A strong sense of responsibility and commitment to ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all children.
• Current First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain).
• A valid Paid Blue Card (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage children in Before & After School sessions.
• Run or assist with a variety of hands-on activities during Vacation Care.
• Create a welcoming and inclusive space where all children feel safe, supported and inspired to grow.

About the role

Are you passionate about promoting children’s wellbeing and confidence? We are currently recruiting energetic and caring Educators to join our YMCA Currimundi Outside School Hours Care team on a casual basis.

As an Educator, you’ll help create a safe, fun and inclusive environment for primary-aged children before school, after school and during the school holidays. With a mix of structured and spontaneous play-based activities, you’ll be at the heart of children's social learning and creativity.
