Job summary

Uniting Early Learning in North Rockhampton (QLD) is hiring casual educators to join a family-friendly, values-based service with a 56-child capacity. The centre delivers a play-based program in a nurturing, outdoor-friendly setting and emphasizes quality learning under ACECQA’s Exceeding rating.

You will help deliver planned activities, observe learning, and support children with care and empathy while welcoming families and assisting with daily routines and light cleaning.

Qualifications

• Early Childhood Certificate III or ACECQA‑approved equivalent.
• Knowledge of Early Years Learning, Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline, and National Quality Standards.
• Blue Card eligibility and First Aid, CPR, and Asthma & Anaphylaxis certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing a well-planned educational program for children.
• Observe and document learning progress and classroom activities.
• Support children with care, empathy and positive interactions.
• Welcome families, assist with daily care duties and mealtime joy, and perform light cleaning.

With a fabulous onsite cook serving nutritious, delicious meals—including vegetarian options—and a small, community-focused setting catering to just 56 children, we ensure every child receives the individual attention they deserve. About You

You're a passionate soul who believes in creating quality learning experiences for children. You thrive in a community-driven environment, celebrating each child's uniqueness.

You're someone who can:

• Support and assist in implementing a well-planned program, ensuring individual and group needs are met.
• Capture the magic by documenting observations, assessing learning behaviour, and creating engaging indoor and outdoor learning havens.
• Guide children with care, empathy, and respect, fostering positive interactions.

Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge:

• Early Childhood Certificate III or equivalent qualification (approved by ACECQA).
• Know the ins and outs of Early Years Learning, Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline, and National Quality Standards.
• Suitability Card for Child Related Employment (Blue Card).
• First Aid, CPR, and Asthma & Anaphylaxis certification.
