Job summary

Uniting Kids Care Early Learning Springwood is seeking a Certificate III qualified Educator for a permanent full-time role. The service operates long hours for children aged two to five and is located near Buttenshaw Park on the Springwood Uniting Church grounds.

You will contribute to high-quality education and care, supporting learning outcomes and curriculum experiences in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education.
• 2 years’ experience working in Early Childhood Education.
• Experience with planning and programming for children.
• Sound knowledge of the NQS, EYLF and Child Safe Standards.
• Must have current First Aid and Child Protection qualifications.

• Provide quality education and care to children in accordance with the National Quality Standards and learning framework.
• Develop positive relationships that support children, families and community.
• Facilitate play-based learning environments responsive to children's interests, strengths and abilities.
• Document children’s learning through observations and assessments against learning outcomes.
• Support planning and implementation of engaging programs and curriculum experiences for children.
• Support children with diverse learning and developmental needs within an inclusive environment.
• Collaborate within a highly experienced team to contribute to the preschool culture.

What you’ll be doing in this role

As a Certificate III Qualified Educator, you’ll provide quality education and care to children to help support and facilitate their learning outcomes in accordance with the National Quality Standards and learning framework!

Your work may include:

• Documenting children’s learning through observations and assessments against learning outcomes.
• Supporting the planning and implementation of engaging programs and curriculum experiences for children.

• Working collaboratively within a highly experienced team and contributing positively to the preschool culture.

Who we’re looking for

• Must have completed a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education, with previous on-the-job experience preferred.
• 2 years’ experience working in Early Childhood Education.
• Experience with planning and programming for children is required.
• Sound knowledge of the NQS, EYLF and Child Safe Standards.
• Must have current First Aid and Child Protection qualifications.
• Be passionate about working with preschool aged children.
• A work history that demonstrates programming, writing learning stories and supporting the planning of a successful curriculum using the Early Years Learning Framework.
• Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, families and community members.
• Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work within a highly experienced team and continue learning and developing professionally.
