Job summary

The Y Australia Bray Park is hiring casual Educators for Before/After School Care. You’ll create a safe, inclusive space, supervise children and help run vacation activities, supporting social learning and creativity.

Ideal candidates hold or are studying toward a Cert III or Diploma in Children’s Services or School Age Education and Care, with a celebration of energy, fun, and responsibility. First Aid/CPR and a paid Blue Card are preferred or can be obtained.

• Cert III or Diploma in Children’s Services or School Age Education and Care required or in progress.
• Energetic, fun, and creative approach to engage children.
• Commitment to a safe, inclusive environment with current First Aid/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage children in Before & After School sessions.
• Run or assist with activities during Vacation Care.
• Create an inclusive space where all children feel safe and supported.
• Promote wellbeing, confidence and friendships through play.

About the role

Are you passionate about promoting children’s wellbeing and confidence? We are currently recruiting energetic and caring Educators to join our YMCA Bray Park Outside School Hours Care team on a casual basis.

As an Educator, you’ll help create a safe, fun and inclusive environment for primary‑aged children before school, after school and during the school holidays. With a mix of structured and spontaneous play‑based activities, you’ll be at the heart of children's social learning and creativity.

What you’ll do

• Supervise and engage children in Before & After School sessions

• Promote children’s wellbeing, confidence, and friendships through play

What you’ll bring

• Hold or studying towards a Cert III or Diploma in Children’s Services, School Age Education and Care or similar
• A great sense of fun, energy and creativity
• A strong sense of responsibility and commitment to ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all children
• Current First Aid and CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• A valid Paid Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)
