Job summary

YMCA Queensland is seeking energetic Educators for our Yandina Outside School Hours Care team on a casual basis. You will supervise and engage primary-aged children before and after school and during holidays, creating a safe and inclusive space that supports social learning and creativity.

Ideal candidates hold a Cert III or Diploma in Children’s Services or are currently studying, with First Aid/CPR and a valid Blue Card or willingness to obtain.

Qualifications

• Hold or be studying towards a Cert III or Diploma in Children’s Services, School Age Education and Care or similar.
• Current First Aid and CPR certificate or willingness to obtain.
• A valid Paid Blue Card or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage children in Before & After School sessions.
• Run or assist with Vacation Care activities.
• Create a welcoming, inclusive space where all children feel safe and inspired to grow.
• Promote children’s wellbeing, confidence, and friendships through play.

About the role

Are you passionate about promoting children’s wellbeing and confidence? We are currently recruiting energetic and caring Educators to join our YMCA Yandina Outside School Hours Care team on a casual basis.

As an Educator, you’ll help create a safe, fun and inclusive environment for primary-aged children before school, after school and during the school holidays. With a mix of structured and spontaneous play-based activities, you’ll be at the heart of children's social learning and creativity.
