Job summary

C&K Anne Shearer Kindergarten & Preschool in Redcliffe, QLD, is hiring a part-time Educator for the Extended Hours Program. You’ll work with the Extended Kindergarten Coordinator to nurture children’s growth, guiding sessions that extend learning beyond the kindergarten day.

You’ll bring energy, a passion for early learning, and a commitment to child safety, with opportunities for subsidised training, scholarships, and a retention bonus as part of a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or currently studying toward it.
• Completed National Child Safety Training – Foundation and Advanced Certificate.
• First Aid, CPR and Asthma & Anaphylaxis certification (funded by employer).
• Blue Card or Exemption Card.
• Police Check current within three months or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Support the Extended Hours Program and partner with the Extended Kindergarten Coordinator to nurture children’s growth.
• Engage children in learning, play, and development activities during the afternoon sessions.
• Uphold child safety and wellbeing; contribute to a positive, nurturing classroom environment.

Our Extended Hours Program seamlessly continues children’s learning beyond the kindergarten day. As a valued Educator at C&K Anne Shearer, you’ll partner with the Extended Kindergarten Coordinator to nurture children’s growth, helping them become curious, capable and confident lifelong learners.

• Permanent part-time | 1:35pm-6:00pm every Thurs, Fri plus alt Wed
• Extra hours offered during the school holidays or as part of the C&K relief pool
• Commencing Term 1, 2027

C&K Anne Shearer is located on Sydney Street in Redcliffe, off Oxley Avenue and next door to Redcliffe Memorial Swimming Pool.

• A minimum of a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or working towards this qualification.
• Completed National Child Safety Training – Foundation and Advanced Certificate (Courses 1 to 5)
• First Aid, CPR and Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification (we will fund this).
• Valid Blue Card or Exemption Card.
• A Police Check current within three months (or willingness to obtain one).
