Job summary

Steel Street Children’s Centre, part of the G8 Education network in Healesville, seeks an experienced Casual Assistant Educator. You will help deliver engaging activities for 0–5-year-olds and support daily routines in a warm, stimulating setting.

Qualifications

• Hold a minimum ACECQA approved Certificate III or Diploma in Children’s Services.
• Understanding of EYLF and NQS.
• Proven sector experience within an Early childhood service (0–5 years).
• Current Working with Children Check.
• First Aid certificate.

Responsibilities

• Support and engage children in age-appropriate learning activities.
• Maintain a safe and nurturing learning environment across indoor and outdoor spaces.
• Assist with daily routines and program planning as part of a supportive team.

Steel Street Children's Centre is offering an exceptional candidate a Casual Assistant Educator role within our fun-loving, supportive team. You will be a passionate, dedicated professional who strives to build and maintain an outstanding learning environment for our children.

About Us

Our children enjoy delightful indoor and outdoor play areas, rooms equipped with the latest age-appropriate technology and learning resources, and a range of activities.

At capacity our centre caters for up to 90 children with operating hours from 6:30am to 6:30pm.

About You

• Hold a minimum ACECQA approved Certificate III or Diploma Qualification in Children’s Services
• An understanding of both the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
• Proven sector experience within an Early childhood service (working with children 0-5 years)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A current Working with Children Check
• First Aid certificate
