Only About Children Armadale is seeking a warm, capable Educator to join our team on a part-time basis, four days a week. You will guide children, nurture curiosity and help other educators grow through thoughtful practice in a safe, calm environment.
In this role you will strengthen the room, contribute to high-quality care and mentor less experienced staff. You’ll work within an inclusive setting that values play, learning, and partnership with families and the wider team.
I learn from what you say, but even more from what you show me.
You show me how to try again.
You show me how to be gentle, brave, curious and kind.
You help other grown‑ups learn too, so my whole day feels steadier.
At Only About Children Armadale, your experience can shape more than one child's day.
We're looking for a warm, capable and professionally confident Educator.
At Armadale, my day feels bright, calm and full of character. I arrive at a renovated church on Kooyong Road, close to trains, buses, parks, playgrounds and cafés. The building feels special, but still warm and safe for children like me.
I learn in six indoor rooms and play outside with sandpits, a wooden fort and slide, rocky riverbeds, mist for warm days and shady spaces. I can make friends, ask questions, explore and feel proud when I try something new. This is where character, calm and curiosity come together.
At OAC, they say You’re The Difference.
I think that means your experience helps my world feel safe, calm and ready for play. You notice small items, help me try harder things and help other educators feel confident too.
I need experienced grown‑ups who can guide children and support other educators.
In this role, you will help create high‑quality care, strengthen the room and mentor less experienced team members through calm, thoughtful practice.
I need to feel safe before I can learn, play and grow.
At OAC, child safety comes first. There is zero tolerance for child abuse and harm. Everyone who joins the team must help create a safe, nurturing and inclusive place where children have a voice, feel safe, and are valued and respected.
You will need to complete all required working with children, background and compliance checks. OAC welcomes people from all backgrounds who share this commitment.
