Job summary

• Ability to respond appropriately to behaviours of concern using proactive strategies.
• Ability to follow individual student support plans and work with teachers and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated one-to-one support to students with complex needs.
• Develop and maintain positive, trusting relationships with students.
• Support students to engage in classroom learning and routines across the school.
• Implement individualised behaviour support strategies under guidance of teachers.
• Assist students to recognise and manage emotions and use appropriate communication skills.
• Help with transitions and promote student independence and participation.
