Job summary

TAFE NSW in Strathfield is seeking an Education Support Officer to assist teachers and engage learners in Conservation & Ecosystem Management courses. The role supports online course delivery and in-person workshops, applying on-the-job knowledge to create a positive learning environment.

You will supplement teaching activities with follow-up instruction and practice opportunities to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.

Qualifications

• Subject knowledge, skills, and industry experience with Certificate III Conservation and Ecosystem Management or equivalent.
• Desirable to hold Certificate III Horticulture or relevant industry experience.
• Demonstrated administrative skills and experience.
• High-level interpersonal and communication skills, proactive and shows initiative.
• Skills in use of relevant information and communication technologies.
• Able to meet all selection criteria in the role description.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers and build engagement with learners in Conservation & Ecosystem Management courses.
• Assist online course delivery while working with teachers in in-person workshops.
• Apply on-the-job knowledge to create a positive learning environment.
• Provide follow-up instruction and opportunities to practice skills to enhance learning.
• Support student needs and maintain effective classroom and learning activities.
