Job summary

Responsibilities

• Provides routine support for teachers including planning of student routines.
• Supports communication between teachers and parents.
• Communicates with teachers on routine matters related to students and/or other responsibilities.
• Provides basic physical care and wellbeing support for students such as toileting, meals, and lifting.
• Assists in supporting student understanding of tasks and information.
• Addresses immediate behavioural presentations within a classroom setting aligned to school policy.
• Provides supervision for up to 4 students in a classroom setting under direction.
• Supports teachers in coordinating educational programs and rostering of aides.
• Provides specialist communication support (e.g., AUSLAN and braille) where required.
