Job summary

Qualifications

• Detailed knowledge of Victorian privacy legislation and practice is required.
• Experience in government and/or education settings is highly desirable.
• Understanding of the changing landscape of information privacy and technological innovation, including generative AI, is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide privacy advice on departmental initiatives and programs.
• Conduct privacy impact assessment reviews and respond to privacy complaints and incidents.
• Support training and resource development across the department.
• Identify and address privacy risk across the department’s activities and operations.
• Engage with IT, security, legal, procurement, communications and digital learning teams.
