Job summary

UniSC invites expressions of interest for Education Facilitators in the School of Business and Creative Industries. You will support the delivery and development of the Business Short Courses Project, enabling small and medium businesses across Queensland to build capability and resilience.

Applicants will facilitate adult learning, review participant work, provide feedback, and contribute to course content and digital resources, with a degree in business/education and at least four years'

• School of Business and Creative Industries | UniSC Sunshine Coast, Sippy Downs
• Level 7 $105,843 - $115,703 p.a., plus up to 17% employer superannuation
• Two Full-time (36.25 hours per week), fixed term appointments available until June 2029

The Opportunity

The School of Business and Creative Industries is seeking experienced and engaging Education Facilitators to support the delivery and ongoing development of the Business Short Courses Project, a Queensland Government-funded initiative supporting businesses across Queensland to build capability and long-term sustainability through practical planning, learning and development.

Working under the broad direction of the Academic Lead and Project Manager, you will facilitate engaging and inclusive learning experiences for diverse business participants through workshops, coaching, assessment and feedback. You will also contribute to the enhancement of course content, learning resources and digital learning environments, working collaboratively with academic, industry, government and project stakeholders to support high-quality participant outcomes and continuous improvement.

You will

• facilitate engaging learning activities and workshops, adapting delivery approaches to meet the needs of diverse adult learners and supporting positive participant outcomes;
• apply your business expertise to support participants in developing practical skills and applying business planning, strategy and organisational improvement concepts to their own contexts; and
• review participant work, provide constructive feedback and coaching, and contribute to the ongoing evaluation and enhancement of learning activities, resources and digital learning environments.

About you

You are an experienced education facilitator and business professional who enjoys working with adult learners and supporting people to translate learning into practical outcomes. You are a confident communicator and facilitator who can build positive relationships with diverse participants and stakeholders and create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.

You bring strong organisational, digital and analytical skills, with the ability to exercise professional judgement, manage competing priorities and use participant feedback and program information to identify opportunities for improvement. Experience in business short courses, professional development, adult learning, higher education, industry capability-building or similar environments will be highly regarded.

You will possess:

• A relevant degree in business, management, education, organisational development, adult learning or a related discipline, together with at least four years' subsequent relevant experience.
• Demonstrated experience facilitating adult learning, professional development, higher education, executive education or industry capability-building programs, with the ability to adapt approaches for diverse participant groups.
• Advanced communication, interpersonal and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage learners, build productive stakeholder relationships and foster positive participant outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to review participant work and provide constructive, actionable feedback, applying sound professional judgement and established standards.
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills, including the ability to evaluate information, identify opportunities for improvement and contribute practical recommendations.
• High-level digital literacy, including experience with learning management systems and online learning technologies, together with a demonstrated commitment to inclusive and accessible education practices.
