Job summary

Department of Education in Western Australia seeks an Education Support Officer to assist with Individual Education Plans, behaviour support strategies, and personalised learning adjustments.

You will work under teachers and school leaders to support students’ learning, wellbeing and engagement, observe progress, and contribute to collaborative planning with school teams.

Qualifications

• Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check
• Current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education Screening Unit
• Ability to support individual and group learning activities

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies.
• Provide individual and small-group support to enhance learning, wellbeing, independence and engagement.
• Observe and record student progress and communicate with staff; contribute to planning with school teams.
• Demonstrate flexibility and strong interpersonal skills to support all students in a safe environment.
