Key Responsibilities:

• Support the teacher in delivering developmentallyappropriate learning experiences.
• Prepare, organise, and maintain classroom resources and thelearning environment.
• Assist with classroom management, student wellbeing, andminor first aid.
• Work with individual students or small groups to supportlearning as directed.
• Observe and document student progress, providing feedbackto the teacher.
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroomenvironment, maintaining professional boundaries and referringparent concerns to the teacher.
• Demonstrates a personal commitment to Jesus Christ, regularchurch attendance, and alignment with SCEA’s Statement of Faithand Christian lifestyle values.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills toengage effectively with children, parents, staff, and otherprofessionals.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritisetasks and manage workload efficiently.
• Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to makeinformed decisions under time constraints.
• Demonstrate initiative, responsiveness to direction, and acommitment to ongoing professional growth.
• Current Working with Children Check and Department ofEducation Criminal History Clearance (or willingness toobtain).

Desirable Selection Criteria:

• Previous experience working in an early childhood orprimary classroom setting.
• Experience supporting children with diverse learning needs,including those with disabilities or additional behavioural,social, or emotional needs.
