Job summary

National Film and Sound Archive of Australia (NFSA) is seeking a Network Engineer, Edge Services to manage NFSA's edge network infrastructure, firewalls, wireless, and secure remote access across multiple sites. The role requires expertise in enterprise networking, perimeter security and site connectivity.

The successful candidate will maintain security, reliability and capacity of ICT infrastructure, document configurations, and collaborate with ICT Operations and external providers.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience managing enterprise firewalls, wireless infrastructure and edge networking services.
• Demonstrated experience managing VPN services, WAN connectivity and site networking technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to implement firewall policies, network segmentation and lifecycle management for edge platforms.
• Ability to develop technical documentation and coordinate infrastructure changes with vendors and ICT teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise firewall and edge network infrastructure ensuring security, availability and performance.
• Oversee remote access services including VPNs and secure connectivity.
• Manage wireless infrastructure, controllers, and access points.
• Configure site connectivity, WAN links and edge routing for reliable operations.
• Maintain firewall policies and security standards across the edge network.
