Job summary

St Vincent's Private Hospital Toowoomba – Melbourne VIC is seeking a Mental Health Clinician to join the ED CART MH&AOD Hub. You will perform comprehensive mental health assessments, plan interventions, and coordinate culturally competent care within a high acuity ED setting.

The role requires an approved nursing degree, AHPRA registration, and at least 2 years post-qualification mental health experience. Full-time or part-time options are available with ongoing development and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Nursing qualification meeting AHPRA registration requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive face-to-face mental health, mental state and risk assessments.
• Provide psychosocial assessments to identify contributing factors and referrals.
• Facilitate admissions/nomination to mental health and AOD services, inpatient and outreach.
• Apply Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022 and related documentation to ensure least restrictive practice.
